The Primary Care and Population Health Grand Rounds Topic: Strategies for the Primary Care Physician to Improve Maternal Health webinar presented by Dr. Wendy Wilcox, aims to equip participants with a baseline understanding of 1) the importance of asking about “pregnancy intention’ and action plan depending on the patient’s response 2) the importance of initiating folic acid prior to pregnancy and optimizing other medical conditions 3) the long-term health implications of gestational diabetes and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Dr. Wendy Wilcox is Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health for NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County and the Health and Hospitals Clinical System Lead for Maternal Mortality reduction and Women’s Health.

Target Audience

This session is intended for all Primary Care team members (MD, RD, DO, PA, NP, RN, SW). Continuing nursing and medical education credits will be provided to participants as applicable.
