CREP: HARP and HCBS

The goal of this HARP and HCBS training is to increase the capability of NYC Health + Hospitals’ workforce to perform specific activities in anticipation of a decline in hospital demand and a rise in the need for home and community-based services. This module will provide an overview of the thirteen Adult Behavioral Health HCBS services.  Understanding the focus of the Family Support and Training and Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment is essential for the workforce of tomorrow. These increased skills will enable direct care workers to be effective care team members and will prepare new members to enter the workforce better prepared as part of an ongoing pipeline of workers. The workforce development focus areas presented will improve services inside the hospital and help improve the workforce’s ability to provide care outside of an institutionalized setting.
